What is self storage?

Self storage is individual storage spaces, or rooms, called units. Customers rent these units to store items that they don’t have space for at home. Business often also use these units. Self storage is often rented on a month-to-month basis.

What is the difference between access hours and office hours?

Office hours are the hours that someone is in our office to provide service to our customers. In short, office hours are the times that our business is open. Access hours are the hours that our customers can come to our facility and visit their storage units.

What is climate control?

Climate control means that  the temperature  is controlled and monitored by the storage facility. This lowers the risk of damages that can be caused by extreme temperatures  to customer’s belongings. Our particular climate controlled units are kept at 60 degrees in the winter and 75 degrees in the summer.

What can I store in my unit?

You can store anything you need to in your unit. Since storage units are popular during a move, many people store household items like furniture, boxes, and appliances in their units. The only items you can not store in your unit are guns, illegal or hazardous items.

What size storage unit will I need?

This can be a difficult decision to make. The unit size you need all depends on what you’re storing. Our handy self storage calculator is a good way to have an quick estimate of how much space you need to accommodate your belongings.

Will I need insurance?

Yes. Proof of Insurance is required. Although we do whatever we can to maintain a protected atmosphere to your belongings, having insurance for the contents of your unit will help you minimize financial loss if your belongings are damaged or lost if an unforeseen event takes place. If your homeowner or renter's insurance doesn't cover stored items, then we can help you sign up with our third party insurance provider. There are many benefits to using Self Storage Insurance and you may be able to save on the cost of insuring your items. We offer Bader Insurance between $2,000 to $5,000 of insurance coverage for a low monthly fee ranging between $9 to $21. This insurance covers damage to your belongings in the event of a variety of accidental circumstances, including burglary, fire, and tornado. It will even cover items in transit within 100 miles and with the low cost deductible of only $100 per claim, this is something your renter’s or homeowner’s policy may not have.

What are your security features?

We take the security of your belongings seriously at Beyond Self Storage. It’s our top priority. To keep youritems safe, we have perimeter fencing, DVR security cameras as well as Keypad access at Gates and all entry doors to the facility. We even have a resident manager, so there’s always someone on site keeping an eye on the property.

What Kind of  discounts Do you provide?

  • All Military with Valid Military I.D. receive 10% off their monthly rental rate.
  • All Senior Citizen's age 62 or Older receive 10% off their monthly rental rate.
  • All First Responders (EMS, FIRE & POLICE) with valid I.D. receive 10% off their monthly rental rate.
  • All Students with valid Student I.D. receive 10% of their monthly rental rate.

Monthly Discounts will be applied after any move-in promotion has expired.

Do you provide vehicle storage?

Select locations can store a variety of vehicles, including RVs, boats, cars and trailers of all sizes outside in our covered or uncovered outdoor spaces. The vehicle must be drivable and you must be the registered owner. You will need to provide the current vehicle registration and vehicle insurance at time of rental.

Do you offer tools to help me move heavy items into my unit?

Yes. To keep your experience with us as convenient as possible, we provide flatbed carts to help make loading or unloading your things quick and easy. 

What are the lease terms?

Our lease terms are on a month-to-month basis.  Your rental can be as short or long as you need.

What are my payment options?

Paying bills should never have to be a hassle.  We will help you set up your payments automatically to withdraw from your credit card each month. Payments are also accepted in the store by cash, money order, cashiers check or credit card.
